Lizzie Bohnstedt advises employers on workplace disputes, compliance matters, and employment-related litigation. Her experience includes conducting legal research, analyzing statutory and case law, drafting legal documents, and assisting with case strategy in complex and sensitive matters.
Prior to joining Thompson Coburn, Lizzie gained advocacy experience as a law clerk at a family law firm in Boston where she researched legal issues, drafted motions, corresponded with clients, and managed discovery matters. She also participated in the Boston University School of Law Access to Justice Clinic where she successfully represented a client in an unemployment benefits appeal by developing case strategy, gathering evidence, and advocating at an administrative hearing.
Additionally, Lizzie served as a judicial extern to the Honorable Robert S. She also worked as a research assistant to multiple law professors, supporting legal scholarship through research, analysis, and brief drafting.
Lizzie earned her J.D. from Boston University School of Law, where she concentrated in Litigation and Dispute Resolution. At Boston University she was an editor of the Journal of Science and Technology Law, directed the BU Client Counseling Competition, and was recognized as an ABA Client Counseling Competition Regional Semifinalist.
Outside the office, you can find me at the beach or on a paddleboard whenever I can get away. I am an avid reader of everything from classic literature to the latest memoir and also never miss an episode of Survivor or Dancing with the Stars.
