Fatima Khan has practiced exclusively in the area of immigration and nationality law for over two decades, helping employers secure temporary and permanent immigration status and work authorization for their foreign national employees, and assists individuals navigate the complex US immigration system.

She works closely with HR personnel, managers, and executives, providing all types of business immigration services. Her clients include multi-national corporations, publicly traded and closely held companies, nonprofits, religious institutions, hospitals, and universities, as well as small employers and start-ups. She often counsels corporate clients who have no prior experience in sponsoring foreign national employees.

She assists with stateside as well as consular processing for various nonimmigrant work visa classifications, including, but not limited to H, L, E, O, P, TN and R visas; and she also assists with immigrant visa (green card) processing including PERM, EB-1, EB-2 and EB-3 applications for permanent residency.

In her representation of corporate clients on workplace compliance and due-diligence issues, Fatima assists with I-9 matters as well as audits conducted by the Department of Labor or the Department of Homeland Security. She also assists corporate clients involved in mergers and acquisitions to ensure that foreign employees involved in a corporate reorganization maintain their immigration status. Additionally, Fatima assists with applications for family-based sponsorship, including marital and K-1 filings, as well as naturalization matters. She also has prior experience with the Violence Against Women Act (VAWA), waivers of inadmissibility, asylum, and removal proceeding matters.

Fatima provides immigration services across diverse sectors of industry, including engineering, information technology, health care, education, finance, scientific research, architecture, construction and manufacturing companies.

Fatima’s attention to detail, genuine passion for the practice of immigration law, and drive to achieve great results and find temporary and long-term solutions for her clients sets her apart from other immigration practitioners. She frequently speaks and writes about immigration issues and provides training to clients. Fatima is also dedicated to community service and serves on the boards of various bar associations and civic organizations in St. Louis. She also serves as chair of the firm’s Middle Eastern & Arab Affinity Group.
