Jake Schwartz’s practice focuses on the representation of secured and unsecured creditors, creditors’ committees, liquidating trustees, lenders, and debtors in a broad range of restructuring and reorganization matters.

Jake has represented clients in a variety of industries such as retail, manufacturing, financial services, real estate, construction, maritime, and information technology.  Jake has extensive experience in the mortgage and financial services sectors, representing creditors and creditors’ committees in many of the largest recent mortgage and reverse mortgage bankruptcies, including First Guaranty Mortgage Corporation and Reverse Mortgage Investment Trust, Inc.

Jake’s practice also includes representing institutional lenders, investment banks, private equity firms, and hedge funds in connection with a variety of restructuring matters, such as debtor-in-possession financings, cash collateral motions, and Section 363 asset sales.
