Joyce’s practice encompasses regulatory compliance and litigation matters affecting regulated entities, with a particular focus on institutions of higher education.
Joyce advises postsecondary institutions and other stakeholders in the higher education sector on compliance with Title IV of the Higher Education Act, applicable state regulatory requirements, and complex accreditation matters. She also assists with regulatory filings and due diligence in connection with higher education mergers and acquisitions.
In addition, Joyce represents clients in regulatory litigation, government investigations, administrative appeals, and other government-related matters. She has experience advising public transit agencies and other recipients of federal funding on federal procurement compliance and related federal and state regulatory requirements.
Joyce earned her J.D. from Georgetown University Law Center and her B.A. in English from University of California, Los Angeles. During law school, she was a Notes Editor for the Georgetown Journal of Legal Ethics and a teaching assistant for the LL.M. legal writing course.
