Kimberly Bero Rennick drives Thompson Coburn’s business development and marketing strategies, working with partners and leadership to align client service and growth with the firm’s strategic plan. She plays a key role in developing growth opportunities, raising visibility, and strengthening client relationships, leading a team of business professionals nationwide.
Kim has worked in every facet of the legal industry — in-house for a large corporation where she retained all outside counsel, outside counsel as a practicing litigator in a large law firm, a consultant and legal technology sales executive to the AmLaw 100, and in business development and marketing roles in the AmLaw 100. Her work as a top-level marketing and client development executive has driven significant growth in revenue and improved processes through the collection of client feedback and data.
A pioneer in the development of predictive analytics and big data to drive client growth (think “Moneyball”), Kim strives to apply technology and analysis in ways that will drive value. Her deep understanding of law firm strategic planning, brand strategy, and project management enable her to identify long- and short-term business development goals and serve as a key leader within the firm. She is a technology evangelist and “dot connector” between the art and science of marketing and business development.

When I was a first-year associate, I learned to knit partly to honor a long family tradition of textile-makers and partly to manage stress. It has become an important part of my life outside of work, particularly as a creative outlet.
