As a member of the Business Litigation team, Lara Yusem Carstens counsels clients on complex business disputes.

Lara earned her J.D. from the University of Notre Dame Law School and her bachelor’s degree from the University of Washington. During law school, she served as Executive Online Editor of the Notre Dame Journal of International & Comparative Law, Vice President of the Hispanic Law Students Association, and participated in the London Law Programme. She also completed advanced externships with the National Immigration Justice Center and the Notre Dame Immigration Clinic, where she helped clients with various immigration and refugee legal issues.

Prior to joining Thompson Coburn, Lara worked as a Policy Intern for WSA Head Start and ECEAP, a statewide non-profit organization of Washington State. She also gained valuable experience as a Judicial Extern for a trial judge in the Circuit Court of Cook County.
