Libby Stevenson counsels employers on a variety of workplace issues, advising in-house legal teams and HR professionals on managing employment relationships and developing strategies to prevent litigation in a complex and ever-changing legal environment.
Libby partners with employers across industries to deliver strategic, proactive legal guidance aimed at minimizing risk, ensuring compliance, and facilitating a positive work environment.
Libby regularly helps clients navigate the full spectrum of employment matters, from day-to-day workplace challenges to complex litigation scenarios. She assists employers with developing and revising policies and handbooks, advises on employee discipline and termination, and counsels employers through leave and accommodation requests. Libby also partners with clients to conduct internal audits related to equal employment opportunity practices to proactively ensure compliance and avoid disputes. She has conducted internal workplace investigations concerning sensitive claims of discrimination, harassment, and retaliation at all organizational levels and presented trainings to employers on best practices for conducting investigations internally.
Libby leverages her litigation experience to counsel clients with respect to employment disputes. She regularly appears on behalf of clients in federal and state courts across the country, arbitration, mediation, and before government agencies. She has successfully represented employers litigating claims under Title VII of the Civil Rights Act, the ADA, the FMLA, and state law in disputes in state and federal court and before administrative agencies.

My favorite way to spend a weekend is walking through Forest Park or the Missouri Botanical Garden in St. Louis, spending time with friends and family, and trying a new restaurant. I also love cooking and am working to perfect my homemade pizza recipe.
