Michelle Saitz manages the paralegals and docketing specialists on the prosecution side of intellectual property while also performing day-to-day prosecution work on behalf of IP clients. Through her many years of experience in intellectual property, she has developed a deep knowledge of international patent and trademark work. This provides her with the background needed to implement and execute efficient workflows for the department.
Michelle is responsible for domestic and international filings. She handles PCT patent applications, national phase entries, and foreign prosecution in collaboration with international associates. For trademarks, Michelle manages domestic filings, including renewals and maintenance, as well as international registrations under the Madrid Protocol. She drafts and files documents with the U.S. Patent and Trademark Office including statements of use, declarations of use, extension requests, assignment changes, new applications and renewal applications. Her work involves extensive document preparation, research, and client communication.
I enjoy spending time with my family, especially swimming, boating, and all things involving a body of water. I also love to cook. On a cold or rainy day, you will likely find me in the kitchen trying a new recipe.
