With over twenty years of experience in health law, Milada provides strategic advice to help clients navigate complex regulatory and operational challenges and accomplish business objectives. She provides practical guidance on Stark and Anti-kickback compliance, Medicare and Medicaid billing, telehealth regulation, 340B compliance, provider-based requirements, Medicare enrollment, licensing and accreditation, medical staff matters, physician, vendor and pharmaceutical supply and distribution contracting, and a wide range of other regulatory and operational matters.
Milada is on the cutting edge of data privacy and security and advises on HIPAA, state data privacy laws, 42 CFR Part 2, and information blocking requirements. She helps clients operate privacy and security compliance programs to meet regulatory requirements and minimize risks and handles privacy and security incidents.
Milada represents providers faced with investigations by various government agencies, including the DOJ, OIG, OCR, state attorneys general and others. She works closely with clients to develop appropriate responses and successfully negotiate timely and favorable outcomes. She also assists clients with developing and implementing corporate compliance programs, conducting internal investigations and making self-disclosures to regulatory authorities.
Milada has extensive experience negotiating corporate health care transactions. Working on every aspect of the transaction, she structures and negotiates affiliations, mergers, acquisitions and joint ventures involving hospitals, pharmacies, surgery centers, physician practices and other businesses.
