Misty Edwards is a trial lawyer representing companies in high-risk cases across the Midwest. Her litigation practice emphasis products liability, toxic torts, maritime, trucking and railroad litigation.
Misty is perhaps best known as an advocate for major railroads in FELA cases and other personal injury actions involving major trauma or fatalities at grade crossings. She helped multiple railroad trials in St. Clair County achieve defense verdicts. Misty also plays a key role in drafting and researching strategic summary judgments, many of which lead to claim dismissals.
In addition to her busy trial practice, Misty is national counsel for private equity firm American Industrial Partners’ two printing press portfolio companies. Because of her outstanding work for this client, she is recognized for helping secure 24 case dismissals and a favorable resolution on the largest of the 30+ cases for the equity firm.
Misty’s experience also includes representing manufacturing, shipping, and tobacco companies in class actions, general commercial litigation, personal injury and toxic tort actions, including those alleging asbestos exposure. Misty also handles administrative actions before the Illinois Commerce Commission.

I have three kids. My sons play hockey, and my daughter plays softball and hockey. I spend most of my free time in the spring and summer sweating at the ball fields. In the fall and winter, you will find me freezing in ice rinks all over the Metro East.
