Nathan Johnson is a litigator, mediator, and Texas State Senator. He represents individuals and businesses in state and federal court in commercial cases involving contract disputes, officer and director liability, fraudulent and preferential transfers and other bankruptcy claims, and myriad other business tort claims, in sectors spanning energy, finance, insolvency, trade secrets, commercial real estate, technology services, and manufacturing.
As a mediator, Nathan draws upon the combination of his experience as a shrewd litigator and as an effective senator in the competitive world of politics, where the stakes are high, the personalities often difficult and always complex, and where failure to agree is generally the worst option.
As the Senator for Texas Senate District 16, Nathan represents approximately 950,000 people and their businesses across seven cities in Dallas County. He is recognized as a leading voice on the Texas power grid, health care, and government efficiency, and youth development. Nathan’s bipartisan legislative record includes major reforms to the Texas energy market, improved health care delivery and access, and modernization of state law in construction and banking. He serves on the Senate Committees on Business & Commerce; Jurisprudence (Vice Chair); Water, Agriculture & Rural Affairs; and Administration.
