Nick Barber focuses his practice on energy law, counseling clients through the intricate regulatory landscape.

His deep experience in energy matters stems from his time at the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC). There, he spearheaded investigations into energy generators and related entities, addressing potential violations of the Federal Power Act, Natural Gas Act, and FERC regulations. This comprehensive experience includes everything from managing investigative document discovery, document review, and witness testimony to negotiating settlements and securing Commission approval. Nick also handled litigation for Commission matters in U.S. Federal and Appellate Courts.

Before his time at FERC, Nick was a partner at a multinational firm, where he handled government and internal investigations and complex commercial litigation. In his investigations practice, he represented global companies facing scrutiny from international, federal, and state regulatory authorities on issues such as business practices, public representations, consumer protection statutes, and federal regulations. In complex commercial litigation, Nick defended global companies in state and federal courts, handling intricate disputes related to consumer protection laws, commercial law, product liability, and financial transactions.
