Vince Gill concentrates his practice on sophisticated estate planning, trust and estate administration, and related federal and state tax issues for high-net-worth and ultra-high-net-worth individuals, their families, and closely held businesses.

Vince advises clients on the design and implementation of advanced estate planning strategies, including the use of revocable and irrevocable trusts, generation-skipping transfer tax planning, charitable giving techniques, and family wealth structures. He regularly prepares and reviews comprehensive estate planning documents such as wills, trusts, powers of attorney, and related instruments, ensuring alignment with clients’ financial and philanthropic objectives.

He works closely with CPAs, financial advisors, and fiduciaries to integrate tax-efficient strategies into broader wealth management plans. Vince also counsels clients on gift and estate tax compliance, including the preparation of federal estate tax returns and gift tax filings, and represents clients in probate court proceedings and trust administration matters. His experience includes resolving fiduciary and beneficiary disputes and advising on trust modifications and nonjudicial settlement agreements.

Before joining Thompson Coburn, Vince practiced with a boutique private wealth law firm in Chicago, where he focused on complex estate planning and administration for high-net-worth clients. He holds an LL.M. in Taxation from Loyola Law School, Los Angeles, and is admitted to practice in Illinois, California, and Kentucky.
