Adrienne Clair, Matt Rudolphi Named to Lawdragon 500 Leading Energy Lawyers List

Thompson Coburn partners Adrienne Clair and Matt Rudolphi were named to the 2026 Lawdragon 500 Leading Energy Lawyers list. The annual list highlights top law professionals in nuclear energy to pipeline regulation, renewables to mining.

Lawdragon’s fifth edition of this list emphasizes that the honorees “litigate disputes from pipeline accidents to international incidents, create the economic foundation for massive projects in traditional and new energy sources, and handle a maze of regulation and investigations.”

Adrienne, based in the firm’s Washington, D.C. office, represents clients in electric and natural gas pipeline matters and counsels on compliance and enforcement. She has litigated numerous proceedings before the Federal Energy Regulatory Commission (FERC), including electric cooperative wholesale power contract and rate design issues, reactive power revenue requirements, mergers, and transmission formula rate and cost recovery matters. Her energy practice is highly ranked in numerous publications including Chambers USA.

Matt helps cooperative and municipal electric utilities and regulated pipeline clients across the country navigate federal and state regulatory matters, market structure issues and appeals of regulatory decisions to the U.S. Courts of Appeals. He advises clients on electric, natural gas and oil regulatory matters before FERC, state commissions and the federal courts. Based in the firm’s Chicago and D.C. offices, Matt is a past president and board member of the 2,000-member Energy Bar Association.
