Thompson Coburn partner Cheryl Kelly has again been recognized by Lawdragon, earning a place in the 2026 Lawdragon 500 Leading Global Real Estate Lawyers list. The list highlights lawyers who are at the forefront of the real estate industry, advising clients on sophisticated transactions, financings, development projects, restructuring matters, and other significant real estate-related issues.
Cheryl represents lenders and obligors in complex financing transactions and related matters across the full lifecycle of a deal, from origination through enforcement. Her practice includes construction lending, restructurings and workouts, foreclosures, receiverships, assignments for the benefit of creditors, bankruptcies, claim and lien disputes, and other creditor-debtor matters.
In addition, she advises buyers and sellers in asset transfers, including transactions involving loans and real estate, as well as transfers in lieu of foreclosure. Cheryl also represents landlords, tenants, and other stakeholders in a range of real estate matters and commercial law disputes.
A fellow of the American College of Real Estate Lawyers and the American College of Mortgage Attorneys, Cheryl is widely recognized for her work in real estate and finance.
