Thompson Coburn associate Jason Schabinger recently completed the 2026 Chicago Bar Association Leadership Institute, a selective professional development program designed to help emerging legal leaders strengthen their leadership, business development, and relationship-building skills. The program is open to Illinois attorneys with between three and 10 years of practice experience and features a series of interactive sessions focused on leadership development and professional growth.
As a member of the 2026 cohort, Jason participated in four leadership-focused sessions covering topics such as self-awareness, emotional intelligence, leadership agility, team engagement, inclusive leadership strategies, and strategic business development. The program concluded with a graduation reception on October 7.
“Thank you to everyone who had a hand in putting me forward for this opportunity,” Jason said. “It was a great chance to get involved with the Chicago Bar Association, meet other soon-to-be leaders in the legal profession from around the city, and engage with some really interesting ideas from the speakers and panels the CBA put together. I certainly feel the experience was worthwhile and taught me a lot about leadership styles, business development, and personal branding. I appreciate the continuing support of my development as a well-rounded attorney.”
TC partner Dave Duffy attended the program’s closing reception and praised the value of the experience.
“It was a privilege to see Jason complete the program,” Dave said. “TC’s continued CBA participation provides valuable exposure for our associates and the Firm within the Chicago legal community.”
Jason’s completion of the Leadership Institute reflects Thompson Coburn’s commitment to investing in attorney development and supporting opportunities that foster leadership growth and engagement within the legal profession.
