Thompson Coburn Los Angeles partner Michael Kun has been named a 2026 Legal Visionary by the Los Angeles Times Studios.
“These attorneys set themselves apart not only through their skill and results, but through an unwavering commitment to their clients, their craft, and the communities they serve,” the publication states.
In the publication’s profile of Mike, it notes that he “developed the landmark Serrano defense, which established that joint employers are not liable for each other’s conduct, and remains the most frequently cited case in the temporary staffing industry.”
Mike serves as co-chair of Thompson Coburn’s Labor and Employment practice group, where he represents employers in complex wage and hour disputes, breach of contract claims, and cases involving discrimination and harassment. A seasoned trial attorney, Mike has litigated more than 200 wage and hour class and collective actions nationwide. He regularly defends employers in both large-scale class actions and individual employment cases.
