Thompson Coburn Chief Opportunity & Attorney Development Officer Norma Jackson has been appointed to the FOCUS St. Louis Board of Directors.
In this role, Norma joins a distinguished group of civic, business, and community leaders dedicated to strengthening the St. Louis region and driving meaningful, lasting change. The FOCUS St. Louis Board of Directors plays a critical role in shaping the organization’s strategic direction, supporting its leadership development programs, and advancing civic engagement efforts that address the region’s most pressing challenges.
At Thompson Coburn, Norma leads the firm’s inclusion, attorney development, and professional growth strategy, fostering an inclusive culture while supporting attorneys at every stage of their careers. She provides strategic guidance to the firm’s affinity groups and leads key initiatives, including the Total Commitment Women’s Initiative, which promotes leadership opportunities and professional development for women across the firm.
Norma also plays a key role in strengthening Thompson Coburn’s external partnerships. She works closely with bar associations and law student organizations to expand access to the legal profession and build meaningful connections within the broader legal community. Her leadership has contributed to maintaining the firm’s national recognition for workplace excellence in areas including women’s leadership, LGBTQ+ equality, and racial and ethnic diversity.
Through her service on the FOCUS St. Louis Board, Norma will further leverage her experience and commitment to inclusion to help guide collaborative efforts that support a more equitable and thriving St. Louis region.
