Thompson Coburn partners Kenyen Brown, Errin Martin, Jan Paul Miller, and Tommy Rea were recognized in the 2026 Lawdragon 500 Global Leaders in Crisis Management list. The rankings recognize the “rising convergence in law practice and strategy of increased oversight in a global environment.”
Kenyen is a former United States Attorney and focuses his practice on white-collar criminal litigation and compliance counseling, including internal and government investigations. As the first African-American U.S. Attorney for the Southern District of Alabama, he successfully prosecuted a broad array of civil and criminal matters. Earlier in his career, as an Assistant U.S. Attorney in Mobile, he led investigations and prosecutions involving white-collar crime and bank fraud. Today, he draws on that extensive government experience to advise organizations and businesses in industries frequently targeted for regulatory scrutiny and criminal investigation.
Errin concentrates her practice on internal investigations, white-collar criminal defense, and data privacy and security. A former federal prosecutor and national security/cyber section chief, she brings a deep investigative background to her work representing organizations and individuals in litigation and before government agencies. With firsthand knowledge of how government investigations unfold, she helps clients maintain compliance and defends their interests when facing inquiries, investigations, or prosecutions.
As a business litigator and former U.S. Attorney for the Central District of Illinois, Jan represents corporate and individual clients across diverse matters, including international licensing disputes, major construction litigation, contract conflicts, and civil RICO cases. He has significant experience handling white-collar matters involving alleged fraud in the health care, government contracting, mortgage, investment, bankruptcy, tax, and banking sectors. He also conducts internal investigations on issues ranging from employee misconduct to Sarbanes-Oxley compliance.
Tommy, a former Assistant United States Attorney, brings substantial trial and investigations experience to his white-collar defense practice. He represents corporate and individual clients in a wide range of disputes and has notable experience in appellate litigation and sensitive investigations. During his 17-year tenure as an AUSA in the Eastern District of Missouri, he first-chaired numerous trials and served as criminal division chief, overseeing thousands of cases involving white-collar crime, public corruption, terrorism, organized crime, firearms, and narcotics.
