Over the last two weeks, postsecondary institutions have scrambled to understand and take advantage of the opportunities contained in the Coronavirus Aid, Relief, and Economic Security (“CARES”) Act. In an effort to assist the campus community, Thompson Coburn’s Higher Education Practice has posted (and updated) content examining the Act’s application to higher education and tracking significant guidance from regulators.
On April 20, 2020, as part of our continuing coverage, we’ll host a special, 90-minute webinar during which we’ll review the status of the Act’s programs for higher education, consider the latest guidance concerning their implementation, and address common questions arising as institutions develop their strategies for securing and distributing funds.
Aaron Lacey, Chair of the firm’s Higher Education Practice, will lead the discussion. He will be joined by Katie Wendel and Scott Goldschmidt, each members of the higher education team.
