Thompson Coburn Earns Perfect Score on LGBTQ+ Equality Survey for 17th Year

For the 17th consecutive year, Thompson Coburn has achieved a perfect score of 100 on the Human Rights Campaign’s Corporate Equality Index (CEI). The survey, conducted by the Human Rights Campaign Foundation, is a national benchmarking tool on corporate policies, practices and benefits relevant to lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender and queer employees.

Thompson Coburn joins the ranks of 534 major U.S. businesses that earned top marks on the 2026 survey. The CEI rates employers providing these crucial protections to more than 22 million U.S. workers and includes Fortune magazine’s 500 largest publicly traded businesses, American Lawyer magazine’s top 200 revenue-grossing law firms (AmLaw 200), and hundreds of publicly and privately held mid- to large-sized businesses.

The results of the 2026 CEI showcase how U.S.-based companies remain committed to the work of building LGBTQ+-inclusive workplace policies in the U.S. and abroad.

“For nearly a quarter of a century, the Corporate Equality Index has put a marker down for businesses committed to inclusion and transparency for all workers. Now, more than ever, we celebrate them.” said Kelley Robinson, President of the Human Rights Campaign Foundation. “No matter the environment, companies that communicate clearly and lead with transparency earn trust, retain talent, and strengthen their business. We are always here to collaborate with employers who want to foster a workplace where team members can bring their best selves to the office.”
