Thompson Coburn is pleased to announce that Aaron Marks has joined the firm as counsel in the Higher Education practice, based in the New York office. Aaron advises colleges, universities, postsecondary education providers, investors, and education-sector organizations on complex regulatory, transactional, compliance, and governance matters.
His practice focuses on Title IV compliance, federal and state regulatory matters, higher education mergers and acquisitions, accreditation issues, government investigations, and institutional risk management.
Aaron brings nearly a decade of experience serving in senior in-house legal leadership roles within the higher education sector. Prior to joining Thompson Coburn, he served as Deputy General Counsel for a large, nationally recognized postsecondary education organization, where he advised executive leadership and boards of directors on regulatory, transactional, and strategic matters affecting an institution serving more than 20,000 students nationwide.
Aaron earned his J.D. from the University at Buffalo School of Law.
