Thompson Coburn is pleased to announce that Lisa Bordoff Procopio has joined the firm as counsel in the Private Client practice.
Lisa advises clients on estate planning and the preparation of wills and trusts, and her practice also includes estate and gift tax planning, estate and trust administration, business succession planning, and charitable giving. She develops comprehensive wealth transfer strategies for multigenerational families and tax‑efficient succession options for closely held businesses.
Lisa also regularly represents fiduciaries in probate matters and trust accountings before the New York Surrogate’s Courts and works closely with the firm’s significant Fiduciary Litigation practice.
With a deep background in corporate and transactional tax, Lisa brings a valuable perspective to clients whose personal and business planning needs intersect. Her earlier work in the tax departments of several prominent New York law firms and Big Four consulting firms, where she focused on mergers, acquisitions, restructurings, spin offs, joint ventures, and tax free reorganizations, allows her to advise families and business owners on the connection between wealth planning and complex business transactions.
