Corporate & Securities Associate – St. Louis

Thompson Coburn is seeking an Associate for its Corporate & Securities practice group in its St. Louis office with three or more years of experience in mergers and acquisitions and corporate finance, including due diligence, negotiating and drafting transaction agreements and closing transactions, as well as general corporate and securities matters. Experience in SEC reporting and compliance (e.g., periodic reports, proxy statements, registration statements, etc.) is a plus. Experience with private equity and venture capital transactions is also a plus. 

Candidates must have exceptional academic achievement, excellent analytical and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function independently and within a team.

IP Associate (Litigation) – St. Louis

Thompson Coburn is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate with 3-5 years of litigation experience. The associate will help with all forms of intellectual property litigation, including patent litigation and post-grant proceedings (IPRs, PGRs, reexaminations, etc.). The ideal applicant will be registered to practice before the USPTO, have excellent analytical and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function independently and within a team.

IP Associate (Mechanical Engineer) – St. Louis

Thompson Coburn is seeking an Intellectual Property Associate with 3-5 years of experience in patent prosecution. The associate will help with post-grant proceedings (IPRs, PGRs, reexaminations, etc.), the preparation and prosecution of patent applications, and perhaps assist in certain phases of patent litigation. Applicants must be registered to practice before the USPTO and have an undergraduate degree in mechanical engineering, as well as exceptional academic achievement, excellent analytical and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function independently and within a team.

Labor & Employment Associate – St. Louis

Thompson Coburn is seeking a Labor & Employment associate with 2-5 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have federal and state court experience as well as EEOC and/or state agency experience. Traditional labor experience is a plus. Candidates must have exceptional academic achievement, excellent analytical and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function independently and within a team.

Litigation Associate – St. Louis

Thompson Coburn is seeking a motivated Litigation Associate with approximately 3-6 years of litigation experience. Candidates must have exceptional academic achievement and have the ability to function both independently and within a team.  The ideal candidate will have superior analytical and writing skills and substantial experience with eDiscovery – including collection of ESI and management of document review. This position will offer the opportunity to work on complex litigation with a diverse team of experienced litigators.

Thompson Coburn is seeking a Litigation Associate with 3-6 years of litigation experience.  Candidates must have experience advocating in the courtroom or before an administrative agency.  Preferred candidates will have experience with arbitration and practicing in federal court.  

Candidates must have strong academic achievement, and have demonstrated excellent analytical and writing skills.  The ability to function both independently and within a team is essential.

Thompson Coburn is seeking a Transit Associate with 2-4 years of experience in regulatory, procurement and/or compliance issues.  Although not a requirement, preference will be given to candidates with exposure to Federal Transit Administration grant issues.
