Commercial Finance Associate – Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, St. Louis or Washington, D.C.

Thompson Coburn is seeking an associate with 3-6 years of commercial finance transactional experience to be located in one of the following locations: Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, St. Louis or Washington, D.C. Qualified candidates will have knowledge of UCC Article 9, and experience in one or more of the following areas of financing: asset-based (ABL), syndicated, leveraged, floorplan, acquisition, agriculture, maritime, real estate, or UCC article 2A (equipment leasing). Additional background with general corporate matters such as board resolutions, articles, bylaws, minutes and business contracts is a plus.

Candidates must have exceptional academic achievement, excellent analytical and writing skills, a client-focused mentality, and ability to function both independently and within a collaborative team. Corporate & Securities Associate – Chicago, Dallas, Los Angeles, St. Louis or Washington, D.C.

Thompson Coburn LLP, a leading AmLaw 200 law firm, is seeking attorneys with 2-6 years of experience in mergers and acquisitions, private equity and corporate finance, including due diligence, negotiating and drafting transaction agreements and closing transactions, as well as general corporate, ordinary course contracting and securities matters. Experience in corporate governance, SEC reporting and compliance (e.g., periodic reports, proxy statements, registration statements, etc.) is a plus. Experience with private equity and venture capital transactions is also a plus.

Candidates must have exceptional academic achievement, excellent analytical and writing skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function independently and within a team.

Thompson Coburn is seeking a Banking & Commercial Finance attorney with 0-3 years of experience. The ideal candidate will have a business background, and candidates must be admitted to practice in Illinois.

Health Care Associate – Chicago

Thompson Coburn LLP’s corporate health care practice area is seeking a mid-level Associate to join its Chicago office. The position offers the opportunity to work on a wide variety of corporate transactions and regulatory matters for health care organizations, including health care systems, hospitals, health insurance companies, long term care providers, physician practices and other health care-related businesses. Due to the public health emergency, associate positions may expect a remote working arrangement on a short-term basis.

Ideal candidates will have 4-6 years of experience managing regulatory and corporate transactional matters in the health care industry and an in-depth understanding of Fraud and Abuse, Stark, Medicare reimbursement, hospital-physician relationships, provider-payor relationships and HIPAA are required. Litigation Associate – Dallas

Thompson Coburn is seeking an associate with 2-4 years of experience to join its business litigation section in the Dallas office. We are seeking candidates with exceptional research, analytical, and writing skills in addition to a detail-oriented mindset.  Candidates must have strong academic achievement and the ability to function both independently and within a team environment.  Prior litigation experience in both state and federal court in Texas is a plus.  Due to the public health emergency, associate positions may expect a remote working arrangement on a short-term basis.

Labor & Employment Attorney – Los Angeles

Thompson Coburn, a leading AmLaw 200 law firm, is seeking an attorney with 2-4 years of employment litigation experience. The ideal candidates will have employment counseling and employment litigation experience, exceptional academic achievement, strong analytical and writing skills, and the ability to function both independently and within a team environment. Traditional labor expertise is preferred but not required. Experience with general commercial litigation is a plus. We are seeking self-starters who are comfortable with client interaction.

Finance Attorney – St. Louis

Thompson Coburn is seeking an experienced finance attorney to work, in part, at a client location. This position is preferred to be full time, but a part-time arrangement will be considered.

The ideal candidate will have experience with commercial and real estate finance (including familiarity with Article 9 of the UCC), entity governance including trusts and partnerships, title insurance issues, and legal opinions. Candidates with agricultural lending experience will receive stronger consideration, but is not necessary. The position is intended to be for twelve months with the possibility of renewing year to year. Candidates must have good analytical and contract drafting skills, strong interpersonal skills, and the ability to function independently and within a team. Due to the pandemic, a remote working arrangement may be available subject to client guidelines; limited in-person training may be necessary early on.
