As an institution, we understand that every lateral is unique and, as such, each lateral’s integration is tailored accordingly. The integration program is customized and adaptable, and designed to complement the lateral’s particular skills, goals and level of need. A team of professionals in business development, training, and data delivery and conversion is assigned upon arrival. These specialists work closely with each individual—listening to their needs, concerns, objectives and preferences—to ensure a smooth and comfortable transition. It is important to us that laterals know they have been heard and understand that we will collaborate to create the best possible professional environment.
Our integration approach works. The numbers speak for themselves: over the past seven years, we have recruited more than 110 lateral partners and associates. This number includes six partners and eight associates who came to the firm in 2001 through a merger with St. Louis-based Howell & Haferkamp. In 2007, 17 partners and 18 associates joined us through a merger with Fagel Haber in Chicago.
