Webinar
Join us for a practical and timely webinar focused on tax saving opportunities available between now and March 6, as you prepare 2025 fiduciary income tax returns. Steve will share his top ten planning tips to help trusts and estates reduce income tax going forward, insights that will be especially valuable for lawyers involved in drafting documents or handling trust administration.
February 10, 2026
12:00 PM CT
The program will also cover key topics such as state fiduciary income taxation, the benefits of making distributions within the first 65 days of the year, and the current tax bracket landscape. In addition, Steve will discuss how 2025 federal legislation will shape fiduciary income tax planning in 2026 and beyond. He will also explore techniques for “trapping” taxable items at the trust level even when distributions are made to beneficiaries, an increasingly important consideration when the trust and its beneficiaries are taxed differently across states.
With Missouri treating all trusts as nonresident trusts beginning January 1, 2026, Steve will highlight planning strategies relevant to selecting a trust’s place of administration, guidance that applies broadly, no matter where a trust is located.
