Thompson Coburn is pleased to announce that Elizabeth Lobaugh has joined the firm as counsel in the Labor & Employment practice. Liz has substantial experience defending employers in California state and federal courts, administrative proceedings, wage and hour class actions, PAGA litigation, and single-plaintiff employment claims.
Liz counsels employers through every stage of the litigation process, from pre-suit risk assessment and strategy through mediation, arbitration, trial preparation, and resolution. She has significant experience handling complex discovery, taking and defending depositions, drafting and arguing dispositive motions, and advising clients on litigation exposure and settlement strategy. Her practice focuses on defending employers against claims involving discrimination, harassment, retaliation, wrongful termination, and wage and hour compliance.
Before joining Thompson Coburn, Liz practiced labor and employment law at Sacramento-based firms, where she served as day-to-day counsel to California employers and independently handled sophisticated employment matters.
