Thompson Coburn is pleased to announce that Jennifer Sackett Pohlenz has joined the firm as counsel in the Environmental Law practice, based in the Chicago office. Jennifer brings decades of experience advising clients on complex environmental, regulatory, and commercial litigation matters.
Jennifer’s practice focuses on environmental law, including issues related to commercial development, clean air and water regulations, renewable energy projects, and waste management. She regularly counsels clients on a wide range of transactional, regulatory, administrative, and litigation matters, helping them navigate federal and state environmental laws and make strategic business decisions.
She represents local governments, private and publicly traded corporations, and individuals. She provides counsel on federal and state environmental laws and regulations affecting land, air, and water, including CERCLA, RCRA, AHERA, NESHAP, the Illinois Environmental Protection Act, and the Illinois Natural Area Preservation Act. In addition, Jennifer manages commercial litigation matters, including breach of contract and foreclosure actions.
Before joining Thompson Coburn, Jennifer served as counsel at a firm in Chicago, where she advised clients on environmental and commercial matters and developed extensive experience across regulatory and litigation issues.
Jennifer earned her J.D. from Valparaiso University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of Colorado Boulder.
