Thompson Coburn officially launches Los Angeles office

As previously announced last month, Thompson Coburn is expanding to the West Coast by opening an office in Los Angeles. Today marks the first day of the firm’s combination with Freedman Weisz LLP, a 10-attorney firm based in Century City.
With this transaction, Thompson Coburn is now a firm of more than 350 attorneys with offices in Chicago, Los Angeles, Southern Illinois, St. Louis and Washington, D.C.
“Our new colleagues in Los Angeles have built a fine practice that aligns with a number of our key areas of focus, and we have immediate plans to more than double the size of our office there,” said Thompson Coburn Chairman Tom Minogue. “This is an exciting development for us, and one that further strengthens our national reach for our many public and private clients, a large number of whom are located in California.”
