Webinar to examine new rules for proprietary school audits

Aaron Lacey January 24, 2017

Thompson Coburn Partner Aaron Lacey will join McClintock & Associates CPA Mike Wherry in presenting a Wednesday, Feb. 1, webinar focusing on the main changes issued in the September 2016 Guide for Audits of Proprietary Schools and for Compliance Attestation Engagements of Third-Party Servicers Administering Title IV Programs.

Lacey is a partner in Thompson Coburn's Higher Education practice and editorial director of REGucation. Wherry is a CPA with 25 years of experience in the public sector to postsecondary schools.

The presenters will cover:

  • 90/10 calculation and reporting;
  • student file testing;
  • gainful employment; and
  • administrative capability.

The new Audit Guide dramatically increases the size and scope of testing in a student financial aid compliance audit. It is critical that post-secondary institutions subject to the Audit Guide understand the impact.

The webinar is approved for 1.0 hour general CLE credit in California and Illinois and 1.2 hours of general CLE credit in Missouri. It’s also approved for 1.0 CPE credits of government audit standards (Yellow Book) credit in Pennsylvania.
CPE credit provided by McClintock & Associates, P.C., CPA. PA CPE sponsor number PX177157.

The webinar will take place at noon Eastern. Please consider joining us for this complimentary informational webinar; you may register here.
