Since our report last week, “Next steps under open payments,” the Centers for Medicare & Medicaid Services (“CMS”) has released additional information on the time frame for registration on CMS’ Enterprise Portal for physicians and teaching hospitals. On June 1, physicians and teaching hospital representatives will be able to register on the portal. This registration process is required if a physician or teaching hospital would like the ability to review, correct or dispute any of the data submitted about them.
